Wonderful food and service. I love these people. Great prices. It's delicious. The owners are especially fantastic. I can recommend anything on the menu, and you should not visit without trying the vegetable soup, which is their house specialty. Even if you don't like vegetable soup (which I don't) I still order it anyway because it's very uniquely flavored. My only critiques are these: always have to get there early because it's packed and very busy. The bathrooms aren't terribly well kept, and the AC on humid summer days doesn't cut it. Can't miss this if you're visiting the beach.

Oh my. Breakfast was underwhelming in every way. When breakfast people leave bacon and omelet on the plate, something is wrong. The condiments were cheap. (I didn't even know Kraft made grape jelly but it didn't taste like grape jelly) The OJ was watered down as was the hot chocolate. The service was good and we didn't hold the food against her tip wise but wow, never again.

One of the best breakfast in area. Come hear every year. Chipped beef is awesome. This trip flies biting our legs while eating. Need to do something about this. Must be a bad year with flies at the beach.

What were people looking for when they write a 1 star review about the breakfast food? There's no frittatas with creme fraiche or quail eggs benedict with white truffle Hollandaise (though they do have a standard EB on the menu)....sorry folks. And I've been eating breakfast for my entire life and Kraft has made jellies since before most of us were born....anyways the food is typical, filling, and hot diner type fare. That's just fine with me. It's a dated place...about a step up from a hole in the wall. But it is always busy for breakfast...usually with a wait for a table. Hundreds of people can't be wrong right? So I tried it and I wasn't disappointed. I ordered the 3 egg platter w/ scrapple. Now, I will spare the description of what scrapple is but let's just say if you like scrapple....order it! If not, or you've never tried it, please don't. It's traditional to say the least...haha. The food came out hot...eggs fluffy, toast buttered, and good portion. Honestly, what more can you ask for? Service was a little slow but it was very busy....took me 10 min for a water....but the coffee came out the moment I sat down. 4 stars is the best I can give because of the dated and old dining room that butts up against a kitchen and the slow service. But all in all a good place for breakfast downtown about 100 yards from the beach on the main drag.

We stop at Robin Hood for breakfast occasionally on our visits to the beach. The other night I brought my grumpy 8 year old in for dinner right before closing and they were extremely gracious. The food is always good, not extraordinary, but extra points for being a regular diner amidst all the fine dining and beach joints.

This is a simple, little breakfast diner. The service is quickly and friendly. There are waitresses always making rounds with coffee pots to keep patrons' mugs full. The food is on par with IHOP and other average breakfast diners. I shared the hot cakes with scrapple. If you're a fan of breakfast sausage, then I would recommend scrapple to you; it just wasn't for me. All in all, Robin Hood is a fair spot if you're craving some breakfast food while most of the other restaurants are closed.

On the south side of Rehoboth Ave. lies a small, easily missed diner. I know because I walked past it thrice trying to find it. Many people say that Robin Hood is a staple of Rehoboth, and they were right. People who've lived in lower slower Delaware their whole lives know about the Robin Hood, and have more than likely eaten there. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the food is great. However, when I ordered some pancakes and bacon, they served me a plate too small to house the pancakes. I either had to cut all of the pancakes at once or hang one off my plate so I could cut it on a solid surface. Another odd quirk is that, on the breakfast menu, everything that isn't eggs is listed under "Specialties." The interior is small, but cozy, and feels like a place everyone could go with their friends for a nice breakfast. If you're in the area, I highly reccommend it.

Very good breakfast! I had the mushroom and cheese omelet. The wife (I like calling her that!) had eggs over hard and bacon. Both dishes were well prepared and tasty. Coffee was excellent and plentiful. Service was attentive and quick. Your basic all American diner done well!!! Highly recommend.

The breakfast is mediocre at best but at least the servers are super nice! Pancakes were tough and heavy. Eggs and potatoes weren't seasoned well at all. Wouldn't recommend it.

Went here for dinner Sunday evening. When I walked in I saw patrons eating what appeared to be standard deep fried chicken tenders and fries. I wasn't hungry and the menu did nothing to make me hungry. My kids got fried shrimp, my friend got a burger, my wife got chicken tenders, and my friends wife got liver and onions. The burger was obviously a frozen patty from the grocery store. The chicken and shrimp looked the same. The only thing that looked decent was the liver and onions. The servers were very polite. I'd rather get a frozen burger from home and make it myself then pay a premium for this crap.

Great food and service. Got the Greek omelet with spinach and it came with taziki. We told the waitress we were going to share and they brought it out nicely split on two plates. Plenty for both of us.

Had breakfast here. Descent food. Typical American Diner type food. Pancakes were so, so. Eggs weren't greasy! Fairly cheap. ~$9 per person. Gotta pay for parking. :-(.

nothing outstanding, but the mushroom and cheese omelet was good and definitely a lot of food. good dependable breakfast place, good service. i'll definitely come back and try again.

So we went around 1 pm and its wasn't really busy but at the same time it wasn't empty. I always think that's a good sign. They has all day breakfast but also lunch options. I had French Toast and a Garlic Bread appetizer. Its a weird combination but it was good. I was looking for a vegetarian option. Besides a couple salads there aren't any vegetarian lunch options. On the breakfast menu there were a few vegetarian option, french toast and a couple omelets. My sister had chicken fingers and she liked them. My dad had eggs benedict and enjoyed it and my mom had a crab cake salad and she liked it. Overall we liked it. The building is kind of cold so I would bring a jacket but it was nice. It has good service. They were really nice even for my mom who is really picky.

Not sure what the hype is about. I got chipped beef which was not very good and a side of scrapple which was good service was good but the food I had was sub par.

A friend and I made a quick post Labor Day visit to RB; she used to work at the Beach, and had eaten at Robin Hood many times over the years. So we decided to grab dinner there. Or I should say, tired and failed. We arrived and there were maybe two other tables occupied. We ordered a salad and turkey. And waited. And waited, And waited. We did get our Mimosas pretty quickly, but I finally asked the waitress about our meal. "Coming right out." More waiting. Now 25 minutes have gone by and there is only 1 other table with customers. I flag the manager. She goes back into the kitchen, and never reappears. We left money for the drinks and left. The manager seemed to have no concern that she was about to lose the remaining customers in the restaurant. Two women came in while we were waiting and were told they were about to close, but it was okay. Those women decided to go elsewhere. Smart move.

We used to like this place, but were disappointed this year. Waitress was overloaded, food was nothing special. Found better places for breakfast where food is made with love.

My favorite breakfast place in Rehoboth! I have drive straight here 3 1/2 hours for breakfast! I have also given up the free hotel provided breakfast many times to take my family here. The pancakes are awesome! Very highly recommend!

Simple diner style breakfast and lunch place virtually on the beach. The omlets were terrific, and good coffee too. Resort prices, of course, but reasonable for the area. Friendly service and kid-friendly--though there were not many there. Seemed popular with the locals, too.

Perfectly clean, cozy, family owned place for breakfast. A block from the beach on Rehoboth Ave. Blueberry pancakes - YUM. They have omelets, eggs benedict, french toast, sausages, - such a great selection for breakfast. We put our name on the list and were called within 10 minutes. Tables turn over fast. Service was friendly and prompt and the atmosphere is quaint. Sat next to two priests Sunday AM at 11:00 (I thought they worked on Sundays) and most of the tables were filled with couples and regulars. Great food, great prices and super clean. Perfect!

so if you find yourself in Rehoboth Beach on a beach gateway vacation or if youre like me you are there to visit the Dogfish Head Brewery then you need some good old comforting breakfast food when you wake up in the morning. BLUEBERRY PANCAKES is all I can say. They were so good, packed with blueberries. Also there oatmeal is amazing. (i like oatmeal) I also tried their chocolate chip pancakes, they were good but not better than the blueberry pancakes, I know crazy right blueberries better than chocolate, trust me you have to try them!

This is my second trip to Rehoboth and my second visit to Robin Hood Restaurant for breakfast. Another really good experience. As diner breakfasts go, Robin Hood is awesome. Food is hot and portions are large enough. The service was attentive without being annoying. Great location - will be back

The "go to" place for breakfast in Rehoboth Beach. I loved their pancakes and the service was outstanding.

great little breakfast joint on the main strip in rehoboth beach! the owner and restaurant manager were very accommodating of our larger party, though i probably wouldn't go there with more than 6 people. i had the western omelet and a side of scrapple, which was perfect to nurse a slight hangover (in town for a wedding:) the prices were very reasonable (especially compared to the bay area) and everyone loved their meal. to our surprise, the owner comped my grandmother's breakfast because it was her bday. we will definitely be back next time we're in the area!

Robin Hood Restaurant is a small diner on the main strip in Rehoboth. It is very popular at breakfast time, probably mainly for the drink specials advertised for brunch. I did not notice many people with mimosas while we were there, nor did I notice anything much brunch-like on the menu. The menu did have an extensive list of standard breakfast fare as you would find at any diner, and for that it was fine. Our eggs were cooked perfectly, as were the other breakfast items. You can get a drink if you want, but if all you want is a standard breakfast this place will serve just fine.

OK; had the Greek omelette and it was ok; my friend had the eggs Benedict, but when they arrived the hollandaise looked like old cheese sauce and the Canadian bacon was not recently cooked -- not offensive, but nothing to come back for... Nothing really tasty.

I've only been there for breakfast. This last time, I had raisin bran and glass of water. It was fine. Big portions on other breakfast items.

The Robin Hood has been a favorite place for over 4 decades. Wonderful breakfast. Great pancakes, eggs and real home fried potatoes. Also a very inexpensive and kid friendly place for dinner. Good crab cakes. Not the fanciest restaurant in Rehoboth just good food at a good price.

Of the sit-down breakfast options in downtown Rehoboth, Robin Hood is probably the second best (my favorite being Sammy's Kitchen). However, when Sammy's is crowded, as it was this past Labor Day weekend, I simply walk over to the ocean block of Rehoboth Ave to this hole-in-the-wall diner. The price range is cheap and on par with the breakfast competition ($9.50 for a ham+cheese omelet that comes with hash browns and toast). Service is adequate, and the place is decently clean in spite of its appearance from the outside (there has been a dead fly stuck between the menu and glass of the front window for quite some time now...). Robin Hood's biggest benefit is that it serves mimosas ($4.95), something lacking from a majority of the other breakfast options in town (I promise I'm not an alcoholic).

If Yelp allowed half stars, I'd bump this to 3.5. We went here for dinner just at the end of summer season, with 2 kids who were both hungry and cranky. Going in around 6pm to find the place TOTALLY EMPTY! So we got our pick of seat and wait staff was very helpful in accomodating getting us setup. More people came in as we were there, but could see this is a very low key place that people might pass by easily. With the namesake being a man who robbed from the rich to help the poor, it's no surprise the food prices here were very modest. Several options under 10 dollars! My son got a cheeseburger kids meal, which ended up being just a little less than an adult meal, but I think we had to pay extra for cheese and for fries. Food was okay, not gourmet, 5-star stuff, but everything tasted good. My wife commented that she didn't like how their salad tasted, but otherwise liked her dinner. Service was a bit slow at the end, but they also got a lot of tables in very quick succession, so that could explain it. Owner was very personable and came to talk to us for a few minutes. Bottom line: Great little diner for eating on a budget, but due to "little diner" atmosphere, might expect slower service and food that's just okay. But still a great off the path option if you want to avoid the super crowded spots.
